Rabbit polyclonal antibody.  This antibody recognizes the specific Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) cell adhesion  sequence of the human lipid phosphate phosphatases 3 (LPP-3).  the RGD sequence is involving in α 5 β 1 and α v β 3  integrins mediated cell-cell interactions and the bFGF VEGD induced capillary morphogenesis of endothelial cells.  LPPs are integral membrane proteins which have board substrate specificity in dephosphorylating polar lipid signaling molecules within and outside the cell including phosphatidic acid and ceramide 1-phosphate.  Research shows the LPP3 isoform has specific function in reducing the intracellular S1P levels.
