Lysophosphatidic Acid Assay Service

Catalog No.:  T-2800

Description:  The LPA assay services uses the LPA ELISA kit (K-2800) to quantify LPA in biological samples (96-well format). Lysophosphatidic Acid (LPA) is a serum-derived phospholipid involved in diverse cellular processes such as cell proliferation, chemotaxis, platelet aggregation, wound healing, angiogenesis, tumor invasion, and smooth muscle contraction. Recent research indicates LPA may play a significant role in the pathophysiology of cancer and may be used as a biomarker for ovarian cancer. (several literature citations indicate plasma LPA levels are elevated in ovarian cancer patients).

**This kit should not be used for the detection of LPA in rodent samples**
