We run your samples and you accomplish more!

We can run 10 samples, a complex 12-point IC50 curve, or a large panel of patient samples ran over the course of many months. We run your samples and you accomplish more! Take advantage of the expertise of our scientists with our lipid, enzyme, and HA assays. We are flexible and have a fast turnaround time. We can run 10 samples, a complex 12-point IC50 curve, or a large panel of patient samples ran over the course of many months. No service is too big or too small. Let us know how we can help with your project.

Assay timeline: it’s as easy as 1,2,3

1. Pick your assay

Determine your assay. Then, reach out and tell us the goals of your project. We will then assign you a service coordinator who will work out the specific needs for your project. This means, all assay services can be customized to your needs. Once this is done, a quote will be sent to you. For ease of ordering, use the quote number.

2. Ship your samples

Temperature sensitive samples should be shipped on 3-5 lbs of dry ice. Once your samples have shipped let your service coordinator know. She will alert the receiving department and ensure the samples are received in good condition. Vials can leak during shipment if they are not frozen. Select good vials, labels, and caps when preparing your samples. Samples can also be wrapped with parafilm.

3. Get results!

Once your samples are run and the data has been analyzed, your data goes through quality assurance. Quality assurance ensures that the assay parameters were met and the samples were run correctly. After that, you will receive your data. You can expect your results 2-3 weeks from receipt of samples. Your data also comes with a quality-controlled certificate of analysis.

Our assay services

Autotaxin (ATX) Screening Service

The Autotaxin Screening service uses the ATX Sandwich ELISA, a robust quantitative immunoassay designed for in vitro measurement of ATX levels in human biological fluids or cell culture supernatant. The concentration of ATX in the sample is determined using a standard curve of known amounts of human ATX.

Autotaxin (ATX) Activity Assay Service

The Autotaxin Activity Assay utilizes the fluorogenic substrate FS-3, an LPC analogue. This assay gives a quantitative measurement of autotaxin activity in biological samples by measuring changes in fluorescence over time.

Autotaxin (ATX) Inhibitor Screening Service

The Autotaxin (ATX) Inhibitor Assay Service is a kinetic assay that utilizes the fluorogenic ATX substrate, FS-3. FS-3 is an LPC analogue that is conjugated with both a fluorophore (fluorescein) and a quencher. Cleavage by ATX results in increased fluorescence.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Screening Service

The Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Screening Service uses a competitive HA ELISA  to quantitatively measure HA levels from purified, human and animal biological fluids, cell supernatant samples.

Lysophosphatidic Acid (LPA) Screening Service

The LPA Assay Service uses our LPA ELISA II kit to quantify LPA in biological samples. The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates.

Sphingosine 1-Phosphate (S1P) Screening Service

The Sphingosine 1-Phosphate Assay Service uses our S1P ELISA kit to detect S1P from  serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, and cell lysate samples. This assay is not species specific and has been tested with S1P from human, bovine, equine, caprine, and mouse.

MEP Antibacterial Screening Service

The MEP Antibacterial Screening Service, utilizes a genetically engineered strain of Salmonella typhimurium (CT31-7d) that can utilize either the MEP or the mevalonate (MVA) pathways. A two-part screen evaluates both pathways with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) and uses fosmidomycin as a positive control.

Pricing examples are provided on each service page, but quotes can be generated for specific sample numbers or assay requirements.

Sample considerations

This section is for general reference. The technical data sheet for each respective assay service should be referenced.  All our assays are currently research use only and not intended for diagnostic use.

Sample volume

Our standard procedure is to run each sample in duplicate wells. This means, for most assays, we will need a minimum of 250 uL of sample. Of course, if you prefer your samples in triplicate more sample volume will be needed. Please refer to your assay service technical data sheet for specific sample information.

Minimum number of samples

Depending on the assay, we require a minimum of 10, 12, or 20 samples. Our standard pricing is for each sample to be ran in duplicate wells. This means that 10 samples = 20 assay wells. If you need to run greater or fewer samples, contact us for pricing.
