Angiotensin (Ang) (1-7) is a vasodilating agent which is part of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS). It can be formed by cleavage of Ang I by neprilysin or from Ang II through Angiotensin Converting enzymes (ACEs). Ang (1-7) is an antagonist of the Mas receptor.
