Beta Amyloid [Gln 22] (1-42) contains the E22Q mutation, a point mutation that substitutes glutamine for glutamic acid at position 22, also known as the “Dutch” mutant. The E22Q mutation leads to increased deposition rates of the AβE22Q peptide onto preseeded fibrils and is associated with greater toxicity.
