Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) is also known as Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). LHRH binds the gonadotropin releasing hormone receptor on gonadotrope cells in the pituitary gland, stimulating phospholipase C to release calcium and activating protein kinase C.
